Why Did Soviet Union Expand?
- Soviet
Union had a bad memory of WW1 in which Soviet Union
suffered the most. As a result Soviet Union
had various policies with other countries.
- Stalin worked with Churchill to come
up with the percentage deal in which many Eastern European countries were
shared between them.
- Soviet Union also
expanded because they wanted a buffer zone in case there was another world war.
- They wanted to move the
Polish border so that more of Poland
becomes part of USSR.
- Also he wanted a communist or soviet-friendly government in Poland.
